Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Position Summary:

Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance duties for all commercial equipment to support our Walmart stores. You will develop preventive maintenance schedules, complete assigned PMs within the required timeframe, and conduct training for Store Associates regarding care and cleaning of equipment.

• Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment)
• Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality
• Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules, providing required written and electronic documentation such as expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, and maintenance logs

• Have previous experience in maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment, etc.)
• Understand the importance of Customer Service and communicate clearly, transparently, and respectfully
• Drive personal accountability and use effective time management to meet commitments
• Adapt to changing and competing demands, using solid judgment to identify priorities
• Believe in Servant Leadership and work effectively as a team to achieve goals

• 3 years of experience in maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment, or related trades
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• Eligibility for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Vocational or technical certification and 3 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
• 5 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
• Valid driver’s license

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program
• License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located
• Intermediate proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
