Must be able to report to work at scheduled time.

Must be able to work until assignment is completed (will comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administrations hours of service regulations).

Will be required to properly use electronic logging devices as well as completing accurate drivers logs and pre/post-trip vehicle inspections.

Complete drop off/pick-ups of demountable cargo boxes on a nightly basis. Routes are subject to change (start in Alabaster, but drop off/pick up location will rotate between facilities in Alabama).

Drivers are expected to observe all federal and state traffic laws and drive with caution to avoid causing breakage and shifting merchandise.

Position will require sitting, standing, driving, walking, pushing/pulling, climbing and reaching.

Drivers will be required to deliver in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe by company management.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Other duties assigned

Must be at least 21 years of age

Must have 1 year continuous experience driving a tractor trailer either over the road or local

Must have and be able to maintain valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

Must be able to operate a stick shift tractor

Must have and be able to maintain valid DOT Medical Certification

Must be able to pass background check (i.e. police backgrounds, reference checks…)

Cannot have more than two (2): moving violations and/or at-fault vehicle accidents (any combination) in the past three (3) years (for speeding, violations must be under 16mph)

Cannot have more than one (1): speeding violation of 16-29mph OR at-fault accident in the past three (3) years

Cannot have a major violation such as: DUI/DWI, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and/or super speeder (29+mph) violation in the past five (5) years

Demountable Drivers will be required to deliver and pick up in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe by the DOT and company management. This position will also be required to support and assist with direct daytime delivery when needed.
