Sr. Accountant

How You'll Fulfill Your Mission

The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining accounting records, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and company policies. This role requires advanced technical accounting knowledge and the ability to work independently on complex accounting tasks while supporting month-end and year-end close processes.

• General Ledger & Close: Execute month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, complex account reconciliations, and chart of accounts maintenance.
• Inventory & Costing: Oversee inventory accounting and cost analysis to ensure accurate valuation and reporting of manufacturing activities.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Compliance & Audit: Lead internal control monitoring, support external audits, and ensure adherence to tax and regulatory requirements.
• Operations Oversight: Review AP/AR workflows, vendor aging, and expense processing for accuracy and policy compliance.

• Education: Bachelors in Accounting or Finance;
  CPA (or active candidacy) preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of 5 years in inventory and cost accounting
  .
• Industry: Must have experience in manufacturing and startup environments. Public accounting experience is a plus.

  Advanced Excel (pivots, VLOOKUPs, modeling) and ERP proficiency (
  Odoo
  17 experience highly preferred).
• Competencies: Deep understanding of GAAP
  , high attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines independently.
