Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger activity, receivables, payables, and payroll related entries.
- Lead month end, quarter end, and year end close processes and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to maintain accurate financial records.
- Support system transition efforts by assisting with data validation, testing, and process improvement initiatives.
- Partner with cross functional teams to support reporting, inventory tracking, and special projects as needed.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with certification.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a professional environment.
- A strong understanding of accounting standards and general ledger processes.
- Previous experience with accounting systems, including familiarity with both small business and enterprise platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within a fast paced and evolving environment.
- Prior experience working with inventory or product based accounting environments.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to interpret financial data.
- Hands on work style with the ability to execute tasks independently.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments.
- Process improvement focus with the ability to build structure and enhance efficiency.
