Lead safety initiatives as a Safety Manager with OSCO Construction in the Greater Toronto Area. This leadership role focuses on developing and managing site‑specific safety programs while enhancing safety culture organization‑wide.
The Safety Manager reports to the Director of Safety and collaborates with front‑line supervisors to enforce OSCO’s safety standards.
Ideal candidates have 7-10 years of progressive safety experience in industrial or unionized environments, preferably in construction. You'll engage effectively across multiple sites, ensuring consistent safety practices through hands‑on support and regular travel.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise Safety Coordinators across the assigned territory
- Collaborate with Operations to address safety challenges
- Assess and mitigate workplace hazards effectively
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and reporting
- Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures
- 7-10 years of safety experience in construction
- Qualified Safety designation (CSS, CSO, NCSO, CRSP) preferred
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Exceptional communication capabilities
- Familiarity with regulatory safety standards
