Class Purpose
Under general direction, provides day-to-day administration, operational leadership, and supervision of programs, services, personnel, and budgets of assigned instructional programs, student services, or an integrated portfolio of educational programs. Provides leadership in support of student success, enrollment, retention, completion, transfer, workforce development, and equitable outcomes. Collaborates with faculty, classified professionals, administrators, students, and community partners to advance institutional goals and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and District policies.

Examples of duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provides operational leadership, planning, and administrative oversight for assigned instructional, student services, or integrated educational programs and departments.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates short- and long-range goals, objectives, operational plans, and program improvement initiatives.
- Promotes student-centered practices and advances equitable access, success, and completion for all students.
- Directs and evaluates assigned personnel, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, professional development, and disciplinary processes.
- Develops, monitors, and manages assigned budgets, grants, categorical funding, and other resources.
- Participates in program review, assessment, accreditation activities, strategic planning, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Provides operational oversight for instructional programs and academic services, including curriculum development processes, class scheduling, faculty assignment and evaluation workflows, instructional support centers, instructional quality, student learning outcomes, educational effectiveness and related academic operations as assigned.
- Provides operational oversight for student support programs and services, including but not limited to counseling, enrollment services, financial aid, special programs, student success initiatives, and related services as assigned.
- Analyzes data and performance metrics to identify trends, inform decision-making, and improve institutional effectiveness.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with educational institutions, business and industry partners, governmental agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Ensures compliance with accreditation requirements, Title 5 regulations, Education Code provisions, federal and state mandates, and District policies.
- Leads change management initiatives and organizational improvement efforts.
- Serves on District and college committees, task forces, and shared governance bodies.
- Represents the College and District at meetings, conferences, and community events.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education
- Master's degree from an accredited institution.
Experience
- Three (3) years of experience in higher education.
- Experience in instruction, student services programs, or other educational leadership functions is desirable.

- Principles and practices of community college administration.
- Instructional and student services programs and operations.
- Applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Accreditation standards and institutional effectiveness practices.
- Program review, strategic planning, and assessment methodologies.
- Budget development, fiscal management, and resource allocation.
- Collective bargaining agreements and personnel administration.
- Student success, enrollment management, retention, and equity initiatives.
- Data analysis and performance measurement.
- Principles of supervision, leadership, and organizational development.
Ability to:
