We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our core engineering team. In this role, you will support the design, development, and testing of electronic systems critical to our kinetic launch technology. You’ll work across a variety of subsystems—from high-voltage actuation to embedded telemetry—helping to build and refine the hardware that powers our launch platform. This is a hands‑on role with opportunities for growth in both technical and leadership tracks.

You’ll collaborate closely with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams including mechanical, fluids, and aerospace engineers to develop the launch electrical systems architecture.

  • Role Type: FTE EXEMPT
  • Location:

    Alameda, CA
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, testing, and integration of all electronic systems for the accelerator.
  • Contribute to schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection for key subsystems.
  • Participate in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting hardware in lab and field environments.
  • Support development and debugging of embedded firmware within our data acquisition systems.
  • Own the design and qualification of the electrical systems architecture.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for electronic and firmware systems.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure electrical systems meet performance and reliability goals.
  • Support integration of electrical systems with mechanical, fluids, and software components.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of industry experience (or equivalent academic/research experience).
  • Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad) and circuit simulation tools.
  • Experience working with embedded systems (e.g., RP2040, ARM, STM
    32, or similar).
  • Knowledge of firmware is a bonus.
  • Comfortable with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
  • Exposure to high-voltage systems, analog/mixed-signal design, or RF is a plus.
  • Knowledge of best practices for EMC/EMI is a bonus.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness
