Senior Design Lead PCB Design Tool, Board Design

Job Summary

Need a Validation engineer to support customer validation boards pre and post silicon bring up, test voltage regulator circuits and low-speed interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, and more.

• Validate voltage regulator designs and publish results to stakeholders.
• Debug failures.
• Load firmware and perform testing.

• Knowledge of power electronics (DC/DC conversion, power conversion topologies).
• Strong knowledge of DC-DC regulators and design/testing.
• Understanding of board-mount/front-end power and proficiency with power analyzers (oscilloscope, AC/DC power source, function generator, electronic load, etc.).
• Experience soldering components on PCB.
• Proficiency in reading schematics (preferably Cadence OrCAD) and reviewing PCB layout in Allegro.
• Comfortable working in Linux and using Linux commands.
• Experience in debugging power circuits and low-level interfaces (I2C, SPI).
• Experience in failure analysis and troubleshooting in a lab environment.
• Experience in test planning, validation, finding failures and driving issues to resolution with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to document test results and data concisely.

• Experience with high-speed interface measurements using oscilloscopes.

Salary range: $88,000 – $134,000 (US). Eligible for performance-based bonuses and company benefits including medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, disability insurance, employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
