Project Manager - Service

The Service Project Manager (SPM) isresponsibleformanagingHVACandplumbingserviceprojectsfrominitialestimationthroughfinalcompletion.

Thisincludessmallrepairs,major retrofits,andlarge-scaleserviceinstallations.

TheSPMensuresprojectsaredeliveredontime,within budget,andalignedwithcustomerexpectationsandcompanystandards.

TheSPMservesasthekeypointofcontactbetweenclients,internal teams,vendors,and subcontractors—coordinatingallprojectphaseswhilemaintainingcompliancewithsafety,building codes,andcompany procedures.

• AnalyzeprojectrequirementsandcustomerneedstodevelopaccuratecostestimatesforHVACandplumbingservicework,including repairs,replacements,and retrofits.
• Review drawings,specifications,andotherdocumentstodetermineprojectscopeandmaterialrequirements.
• Collaboratewithservicetechnicians,project managers,andsalesteamstoensureestimatesalignwithoperationalcapabilitiesandcustomerexpectations.
• Activelymentorassignedsupportpersonnel.
• Sourceandevaluatemultiplevendorquotesforequipment,materials,andsubcontractorservicestoensurecost-effective solutions.
• Preparecomprehensiveproposalsthatoutlinelabor,materials,andoverheadcosts,ensuringalignmentwithcompanypricingstrategiesandindustrystandards.
• Communicatewithcustomerstoclarifyprojectdetails,answer questions,andproviderecommendationstooptimizesystemperformanceandcostefficiency.
• Trackandmanagebiddeadlines,revisions,and approvals,ensuringtimelyandaccuratesubmissionofestimates.
• Oversee post-estimateprojecthandoff,providingclearscope,schedule&budgetdetailstofieldpersonnelandserviceteams.
• ManageHVACandplumbingserviceprojectsfromplanningtocompletion,ensuring on-timeandon-budget delivery.
• Coordinatewithlaborforceleadershiptoensureseamlessprojectexecution.
• Monitorprojectprogress,managinganychallengestomaintainefficiencyandqualitystandards.
• Managemultipleprojectsandbidopportunitiessimultaneously.
• UtilizecompanyCRM,bid,andprojectmanagementplatforms.
• Createadetailedschedulethatalignswithcustomerexpectations,equipmentleadtimes,andfieldteamavailability.
• Communicatewithcustomersthroughouttheprojectlifecycle,providing updates,ensuring satisfaction,andaddressingconcerns.
• Ensurecompliancewithsafetyregulations,industry standards,andcompany policies.
• Overseeprocurementofmaterials,equipment,andlaborresourcesforassignedprojects.
• Trackprojectcostsandmanageprofitability,adjustingasnecessarytostaywithinbudget.
• Maintainaccuratedocumentation,including contracts,change orders,andprojectreports.
• Preparerequiredcloseoutpackage.
• Stayinformedaboutindustrytrends,new technologies,andbestpracticestoimproveserviceoperations.
• Coordinate with Area Supervisors and Forementoscheduleprojects ,maintenance,andrepairsefficiently.
• Drivepersonalsalesgoals.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’sdegreeinengineering(mechanical,industrial,etc.),Construction Management,orrelatedfieldexperience.
• 5-7ormoreyearsofworkexperienceinprojectengineeringinHVAC,MEP,or construction.
• ExtensiveknowledgeofHVACsystems,plumbing,ductwork,piping,refrigeration,andenergyefficiencysolutions.
• DeepunderstandingofHVACandplumbingsystems,service processes,andindustrystandards.
• Digitally savvy,includingexcellentPCapplicationskillsandtheabilitytoquicklylearnnumerouscustomsoftwareapplications.
• Proficiencyinestimatingandprojectmanagementsoftware(e.g.,Procore,Bluebeam,Fast Pipe,&Fast Duct).
• FamiliaritywithHVACloadcalculationsandsystemdesign.
