Senior Financial Analyst

Opportunity

This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be part of the Global Operations and Quality Finance department at the headquarters in Alameda, CA and support the Global Quality Assurance and Compliance area.

• Responsible for the month‑end close process of Global Quality Assurance and Compliance area based in Alameda, CA in compliance with Division and Corporate reporting requirements.
• Preparation and validation of journal entries, including interaction with Genpact and Corporate Financial Services teams.
• Actuals reporting and analysis of actual vs forecast.
• Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled as per agreed timings, explaining fluctuations and reviewing analysis with the Assistant Controller quarterly.
• Perform forecasting and analysis for operating expenses, capital and project expenses, and balance sheet for the Global Quality Assurance and Compliance area.
• Manage assets, including asset settlement and periodic asset verification.
• Ensure adequate internal controls are followed.
• Manage liaison relationship providing guidance and support in finance matters for forecasting and business support.
• Participate in ad hoc/periodic meetings and projects.
• Responsible for establishing, developing, and implementing appropriate processes and procedures to ensure an efficient and effective financial planning process.

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in finance, accounting or economics)
• 3–5 years financial analysis / FP&A experience
• Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and systems
• Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting
• Highly proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret financial data to make recommendations and problem solve

• Master’s Degree / MBA preferred
• Experience with SAP, Hyperion Ess Base, and Power BI

The base pay for this position is $90,000.00 – $. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
