Under direction of the Supervisor I, the Analyst II supports supervisors and managers by performing a variety of complex and technical analytical duties relating to service contracts, maintenance agreements, requests for offers, requests for proposals, invitations for bids and inter-agency agreements. The incumbent manages existing contracts for the division, makes recommendations and works closely with the department’s Business Services and Accounting teams and with the Labor Commissioner's Office (LCO) staff responsible for procuring goods and services and processing related invoices for the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) Headquarters Administration Unit.

Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.

Duties are primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting possibly in a high-rise building; cubicle or shared workspace under artificial light, utilizing computer screens and other office equipment; may drive a state vehicle for field work, trainings and other related work. While in the field, exposure to dirt, odors, noise, fumes, uneven surfaces, stairs, high-rise buildings, extreme weather conditions, and fast moving equipment may occur.

The incumbent is required to work extensively on the computer as necessary for email communication, research, and other purposes.
