Maintenance Technician

Position: Maintenance Technician (8pm-4:30am)
The Maintenance Technician will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager, working with cross functional teams to resolve concerns that will affect the daily operation. The maintenance technician will maintain and repair Peet’s roasting plant equipment and facilities to keep them in good working condition. Maintain and keep a good attendance record.
* Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment according to the maintenance schedule.
* Diagnose and repair filling and assembly lines as needed.
* Interpret and utilize system error messages on related equipment.
* Understand roasting equipment operation which includes the operation of HMIs.
* Be able to work on bag slitters and pallet lifter.
* Perform diagnosis and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* Read and interpret electrical diagrams as per equipment repairs and diagnosis.
* Repair facilities related items, doors, dock levelers, lights, ballasts, sinks, drains, and general grounds maintenance.
* Assists with roasting equipment maintenance which will require the ability to work on ladders and use basic hand and power tools.
* Perform and assist in line change over and setups.

Possess the ability to use and understand multimeters. Ability to work with computers for accurate data entry and to access machine manuals. Be able to work with a CMMS (computer maintenance management system) or understand such systems. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, make recommendations, draw conclusions and communicate effectively. Ability to take direction and a willingness to learn new skills.

* What We Offer:

The target annual base salary range for this position is **$25 – $35**. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the applicant’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education, certifications or licenses, other legitimate non-discriminatory business factors, and the geographic location of the role. In addition to base pay, individuals in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
