Position Summary:
The Cell Processing Specialist is responsible for the processing, isolation, and quality control analysis of human primary cells and biological samples in a laboratory environment. This role supports the production of high-quality cell-based products by performing laboratory procedures, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with established protocols, and contributing to a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about supporting scientific and healthcare advancements through laboratory operations.
A Day in the Life of a Cell Processing Specialist at Discovery Life Sciences:
- Review production schedules and laboratory priorities
- Process human blood samples through centrifugation and cell isolation procedures
- Prepare reagents and buffers
- Perform quality control on cell products
- Associate’s Degree or higher in a life science or related scientific field
- Minimum of one (1) year of laboratory experience in life sciences, biotech, healthcare, or related industry (training during degree program will be considered)
- Previous manufacturing or production laboratory experience preferred.
- Ability to read, interpret, and communicate technical documents, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to learn laboratory processes and operate standard laboratory equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to accurately follow established procedures while meeting quality standards and project timelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
- Willingness and flexibility to work overtime as needed.

For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $22 - $28 per hour. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience. Your annual salary is only one part of your total compensation package. Other benefits include:

- Monday – Friday 10am – 6:30pm local time
- Less than 5% domestic or international travel required for mandatory site meetings and trainings
