Linxx Security Solutions, Inc. (Linxx) is seeking experienced Armed Security Officer to provide security support on site and/or off-site in support of U.S. Coast Guard Base Alameda. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding personnel, facilities, and property while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and readiness to respond to emergencies.

ResponsibilitiesMany or all the following:
- Conduct hourly interior and exterior roving patrols at off-site facilities associated with USCG Base Alameda.
- Respond to emergencies, including active shooter situations and other life‑threatening incidents.
- Assist with access control and support armed gate guards as needed.
- Inspect critical protection points, classified containers, and facility perimeters.
- Secure open gates, doors, and windows; manually operate heavy gates as required.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, persons, or vehicles.
- Provide first aid, CPR, and AED support when necessary; assist first responders during emergencies.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, or suspicious conditions.
- Escort personnel, valuables, or materials to ensure security.
- Enforce site regulations and prepare detailed reports of daily activities or irregularities.
- Conduct vehicle and package inspections when required.
- Operates telephone console to receive incoming calls for assistance.
- Questions caller to determine nature of problem and type and number of personnel and equipment needed, following established guidelines.
- Scans status charts and computer screen to determine units available. Monitors alarm system signals that indicate location of fire or other emergency.
- Operates two‑way radio to dispatch police, fire, medical, and other personnel and equipment and to relay instructions or information to remove units.
- Types commands on computer keyboard to update files and maintain logs.
- Tests communications and alarm equipment and backup systems to ensure serviceability.
- May provide pre‑arrival instructions to caller, utilizing knowledge of emergency medical techniques.
- May activate alarm system to notify fire stations.
Schedule times are subject to change:
- 12‑hour shifts (8 hours regular + 4 hours overtime per shift)
- 8‑hour shift
- Able to speak, understand, read, and write the English language fluently.
- You are physically capable to perform the job including:
- Pass a medical examination, drug screen, and background investigation.
- Willing to work various shifts, including nights and some holidays
- Present a professional appearance.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- Roving patrol experience
- Possess a current Security Guard License/Registration issued by the California BSIS
- Possess a current Firearms Permit issued by the California BSIS
- Possess a current certification in the expandable baton and/or OC spray
- Current driver’s license
- Age 21 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have at least two years of experience as a security guard or law enforcement
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Roving Patrol experience
- Dispatch/Alarm Monitor experience
