Position Overview
Maintenance Repair Worker and Storekeeper (50% each) – Regular, 40‑hour week, Woodstock.
Salary: $24.42 per hour for Maintenance Repair Worker, $24.14 per hour for Storekeeper.
Responsibilities- Assist with routine facilities maintenance (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, building repairs).
- Maintain heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
- Assist tradespeople on repair and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain construction materials inventory and estimate job costs.
- Snow removal and grounds work as required.
- Receive, unpack, check, and record goods manually and on computer systems.
- Initiate requisitions for replenishing stocks.
- Clean and maintain assigned areas.
- Transport individuals, supplies, construction material, mail, and refuse.
- Load/unload vehicles and perform manual operations for hauled material.
- Maintain simple records of quantities delivered and picked up.
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary. Regular hours: 40 hour work week; additional overtime and weekend work may be required.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of semi‑skilled experience in building, electrical, and/or mechanical occupations.
- 3–12 months of shipping and receiving experience (or equivalent combination).
- Time‑management and multitasking abilities.
- Physical strength and stamina.
- Organization skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license (travel required).
- WHMIS certification, fall arrest, and forklift training will be provided.
- Self‑motivated, service‑oriented, problem‑solving, analytical, effective under pressure, team player, continuous learner, excellent oral and written communication in English.
- Unionized position governed by CUPE – Operational Services collective agreement.
