Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking to hire a Fabricator to join our team. This position will work with the maintenance department to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and modify equipment as assigned to support a continuous improvement culture.
How You Will Make A Difference:
- Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools
- Design and construct templates and fixtures, using the required tools
- Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes
- Proficient in Math and can accurately read measuring devices
- Familiar with schematic reading, electrical, pneumatics, and general building
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge in braze welding
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including ability to grasp, manipulate and assemble parts and components that are often very small, and/or heavy
Your Background:
Associates or technical degree in welding or related field and 1 year of experience
