* Job Description:

** - Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.

- Provide support to fellow imaging technologists as needed.

- Facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow in a dynamic environment.

- Demonstrate flexibility by adapting to various shifts and campuses as required.

- Troubleshoot basic maintenance issues and participate in Quality Assurance (QA).

- Resolve concerns related to image processing and the image archiving system.

- Engage in ongoing education, safety protocols, and technical advancements within licensure.

- Maintain imaging competencies as outlined by management.

- Observe and adhere to radiation, personnel, and patient safety measures.

- Uphold radiation safety protocol while handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals.

- Complete daily logs and periodic tests as required by licensing standards.

- Enhance physician satisfaction by providing meaningful assistance to radiologists and referring physicians.

- Protect patient confidentiality and handle information responsibly.

- Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique needs.

- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care established by regulatory entities.

- Perform examinations/procedures to assist in patient throughput within licensure and competencies.

- Work other shifts as needed.

- Ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS.

- Follow PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser and escalate issues as necessary.

- Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions to the Director/Manager and Biomedical personnel.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

* Job Requirements:

** - Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
*
* Experience:

** - 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting preferred.
*
* Skills:

** - Basic computer experience required.
** Licenses, Registrations, or

Certifications:

** - Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) by ARRT or NMTCB required.

- State Licensure required - New Mexico: NMT by MIRTP NMED.

- BLS certification required (AHA only).
