Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse
Provide safe, compassionate care during all stages of labor and delivery
Monitor maternal and fetal health, interpreting vital signs and responding to complications
Administer medications and manage pain relief methods as needed
Support patients and their families through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthetists, pediatricians, and nursing staff to ensure optimal outcomes
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with hospital policies
Respond quickly to obstetric emergencies
Educate patients on postnatal care and breastfeeding support

Requirements of the Travel Nurse
Active New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid Compact license
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
