RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

• Full-time position in Intermediate Care (IMC) Med/Surg department

• Care for medical, surgical, and respiratory patients

• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred

• Required certifications:
Current BLS certification (AHA only), Current ACLS certification (AHA only)

• PALS and CPI certification preferred

• RN License in state of New Mexico or compact required

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation

• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness

• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families

• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided

• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers

• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers

• Complete annual competency verification requirements

• Participate in preceptorship with designated trained staff member during initial on-boarding
