• Experience:
  
  1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
• License:
  Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact state (NLC)
• Education:
  
  BSN preferred
• Certifications (required):
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NRP
  • Fetal Monitoring: AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
  • STABLE (Participant, Lead Instructor, or Support Instructor)
• Onboarding/
  
  Competencies:
  
  Attend new nurse orientation within the first 30 days; complete organizational and perinatal-specific competency validation and annual competency requirements
• Preferred:
  Perinatal RN residency or recent practice in a perinatal setting

• Provide routine and complex Labor & Delivery nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) in alignment with ANA standards
• Independently manage evolving clinical situations, anticipate needs, and adapt plans of care to meet patient goals
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for effectiveness and adverse effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, fetal monitoring, and care delivered in the medical record
• Support the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families throughout the perinatal experience
• Provide patient/family education, assess learning needs, and connect patients with appropriate resources
• Delegate appropriately and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
