- Assignment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Registered Nurse
- Unit: Acute Med/Surg (medical-surgical nurse)
- Start Date: April 6, 2026
- End Date: July 5, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Schedule: Full-time; every other weekend or 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,950 - $2,060 per week
- On-Site Position: Hospital-based acute care RN role
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience (medical-surgical nurse preferred)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Provide high-quality medical-surgical nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols; monitor for side effects and therapeutic effectiveness
- Document patient history, clinical findings, medications, treatments, and nursing interventions accurately and timely
- Perform patient and family education, assessing learning needs and teaching care plans and discharge instructions
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Delegate tasks appropriately and collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
