Registered Nurse - Night Shift

This position requires a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. This role involves providing both routine and complex care while continuing to develop capabilities to manage the contingencies of clinical nursing.

• Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice.
• Uses appropriate protocol to administer medications and treatments; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and resources.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS certification required (AHA only).
• RN License in the state of New Mexico or compact state license.
