As a Broadband Technician III
, you will perform extremely complex installations, disconnects, and service changes for residential and business customers, including FTTH (Fiber to the Home) and support PON/Metro

E. These services include, but are not limited to, video service, HSD Services, and home/business phone service. This role performs advanced troubleshooting from the tap to the customer's electronic devices (TV, DVD, Modem etc.). This position will be responsible for installing, splicing, repairing, and maintaining aerial, buried, and/or underground fiber optic and copper cable. This position will be knowledgeable of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of telecommunications.

Due to in-field support and on-call requirements, the individual selected for this position will be required to reside within a 60-minute driving distance from the Alamogordo, New Mexico warehouse located at: 510 24th St, Alamogordo, NM 88310.

The anticipated schedule for this role will be Tuesday through Saturday, 8am-5pm with an on-call rotation required.

This position can be hired at either a Broadband Technician I (Requisition - 29703 ), Broadband Technician II (Requisition - 29704 ), or Broadband Technician III (Requisition - 29705 ) level depending on the skills and qualifications of the candidate. • Performs complex installation of all necessary cable wiring (interior and exterior) and hardware from the tap to the customer's equipment for reception of cable and other company services that are offered for single, multi-family, and/or commercial dwellings. This may include subject matter expertise related to the RF distribution of signals. All aspects of the network from the optical node to the distribution tap may be included as subject matter criteria.
  
  This may include system architecture - design principles and HFC architecture; distribution components - actives, passives, and coaxial cable; signal types - analog, modulation schemes, frequency spectrum, and impairments; and maintenance and troubleshooting - sweeping, FCC rules, retum path, test equipment, status monitoring, and troubleshooting techniques.
