This is a tenure‑track position for a generalist in the eight CACREP core areas and five doctoral CACREP areas, as well as the CACREP specialties in clinical mental health counseling, school counseling, and Ph.D. in CES. The position is on‑campus and involves teaching a broad range of courses in the Masters and Ph.D. programs, both on‑campus and online. Travel, evening, and online course delivery are required.
Salary and BenefitsPay range: $51,025–$70,117, commensurate with experience and education. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, and retirement savings plans. Additional benefits may be available.
Minimum Qualifications- Doctorate in Counselor Education at the time of appointment.
- Strong focus on teaching.
- Knowledge, sensitivity to, and ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Evidence of responsiveness to racial, socioeconomic, academic, and cultural diversity within the classroom.
- Commitment to honesty, efficacy, and collaboration.
- Active participation in professional organizations.
- Ability to collaborate with other academic departments, community agencies, and public schools.
- Record of professional scholarship and achievement.
- Commitment to developing and teaching online courses.
- Respectful, civil, and collegial conduct toward students and community.
- Effective conflict‑management skills.
- Experience working with historically underserved and/or underrepresented populations, including first‑generation college students.
- Experience in recruiting and retaining underrepresented students, such as students of color.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development, scholarship, and service to the university and community.
- Self‑awareness of one’s cultural beliefs, perspectives, and privileges.
- Decision‑making informed by research, data, and theory, leveraging students’ cultures and experiences as strengths.
- Teaching experience and familiarity with online course delivery.
- License eligibility in Colorado.
