AHS Colorguard Instructor
Responsible for teaching and developing the marching band's color guard program by instructing students in flag, rifle, dance, and movement techniques. The instructor designs and teaches choreography, rehearses performances, promotes proper technique and safety, and works closely with the band director to coordinate routines for the marching band's half time show. Rehearsals:
Typically, in the mornings before school 7:00am-7:45am, then full group marching band from 7:55-8:50am during the school day. Performances: 2-3 football games, 1-2 parades, some potential performances during the school day as requested all during the fall semester. Minimal performances during the spring including the Canon City Blossom Festival Parade in May.
