About the Position
Job Title:
Registered Nurse – Critical Care Float

Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
Assignment Type: 13-week Contract / Travel
Compensation: $2,100 – $2,200 per week (estimated total package)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Critical Care Float Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week contract assignment. The Float RN will provide high-acuity care across multiple critical care units, including ICU, Step-Down, and Telemetry, depending on facility needs. The ideal candidate is confident in managing complex patients, demonstrates clinical flexibility, and thrives in fast-paced hospital environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients.
Float between designated critical care areas (ICU, Step-Down, Tele, etc.) as assigned.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Administer medications, infusions, and manage advanced life-support equipment.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all hospital and regulatory standards.
Provide patient and family education regarding treatments, recovery, and discharge plans.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of assignment.
Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care experience required.
BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS and NIHSS preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and multitasking abilities.
Experience floating between ICU or similar high-acuity units preferred.
