Controller, Accounting, Senior Accountant

Job Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Controller with a solid background in the manufacturing industry to join our client’s team in Bucks County, PA. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in audit and assurance within a public accounting firm, with an additional 3+ years of experience in a corporate controller role. You must also be well-versed in business transformation. This role requires a strategic thinker with superior communication skills, a deep technical accounting background, and the ability to lead a small team while partnering closely with senior leadership both in the U.S. and globally.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including cost accounting, project accounting, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and ASC 606.
• Assess current processes, controls, and financial systems, identifying opportunities for improvement. Lead initiatives to implement necessary changes, driving efficiency and accuracy across the organization.
• Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute strategies for business transformation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering continuous improvement.
• Supervise and mentor a small team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and senior leadership, to ensure financial alignment and support business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA and/or MBA is preferred.
• Manufacturing experience a MUST
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing company.
• Experience in audit and assurance with a public accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, project accounting, and ASC 606, in addition to other technical accounting
• Affiliative Leadership skills
• High level of technical accounting expertise and analytical ability.

Compensation:

$135,000-$140,000
