We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in ZELIENOPLE, Pennsylvania. This role is instrumental in handling payroll for employees, daily accounting tasks, and monthly financial reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
• Process weekly payroll information for hourly and union employees accurately.
• Reconcile time recording issues between time clock and time sheets.
• Maintain and update Zelienople Production and Non-Standard production entries in the Accounting System.
• Record PO Receipt of Raw Materials in the Accounting System.
• Perform month-end entries and calculations as well as balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analyze operational costs and monthly variances by collecting data from various sources.
• Develop cost standards and participate in the setting of standard costs of manufactured products.
• Prepare tracking reports of inventory, raw materials, and other items.
• Act as the back-up for the AP/AR Accounting Clerk and process quarterly tax reports for taxing authorities.
• Process weekly tax withholding and weekly deduction reports, including balancing and reconciliation.
• Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Proficiency in General Ledger and Journal Entries is required
• Demonstrated experience with Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is a must
• Should be proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Month End Close process is necessary
• Familiarity with using Net Suite is expected
• Experience with Weekly Payroll is desirable
• Knowledge of Cognos is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary
• Attention to detail and accuracy is expected
• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Should be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity are required
• Must have the ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Continual learning and development in accounting principles is expected.
