Job Description
We are in search of an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This position is centered around the financial industry and offers a long‑term contract employment opportunity. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for managing financial records, processing invoices, and updating files for audits. The role requires proficiency in Excel formulas and balance sheets.
Responsibilities- Efficiently process miscellaneous accounts payable invoices.
- Accurately maintain and update files for year‑end audit preparations.
- Manage and update retiree health contribution files regularly.
- Execute weekly stuffing of accounts payable checks.
- Perform miscellaneous invoicing tasks as required.
- Ensure accurate filing for HUD lead.
- Handle data entries in Munis.
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate customer credit records.
- Proficiency in Excel formulas and balance sheets is mandatory.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for individuals with a degree in accounting or a related field.
- Proven experience in an accounting role or similar is preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in performing all duties.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and other computer applications.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to make sound decisions based on data.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and contribute to an inclusive working environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a changing environment.
- Compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
