The Associate Director of Business Analytics US I&A is a data and analytics leader who supports CSL’s brand teams by providing strategic insight through quantitative analytics and reporting. The role guides the business team to proactively plan, design, and lead initiatives for in‑line and launch products, contributing to portfolio and brand strategy development through an understanding of the quantitative and qualitative market context and CSL Behring’s strategic opportunities.
Key responsibilities include developing metrics, KPI dashboards, and other tools to quantify performance indicators that connect strategic intent with tactical execution.
The incumbent serves as the subject matter expert on healthcare data and mentors other analysts and managers on best practices. With strong business acumen, the role integrates and cross‑analyzes quantitative and qualitative information from multiple sources to provide well‑supported recommendations that are relevant, timely, and actionable. The position requires an entrepreneurial mindset and a drive to grow with the role.
Responsibilities- Plan, manage, and execute commercial data modeling and scenario analysis using competitive intelligence, secondary and primary research techniques.
- Deliver high‑quality, timely and actionable insights that characterize opportunities and risks, and translate them into clear management recommendations with associated implications for the business.
- Lead the management and support of enterprise analytical projects, platform development, data acquisitions, and analytical vendor relationships.
- Provide decision support using a broad range of quantitative techniques to analyze, interpret, and understand main business and market dynamics, presenting detailed quantitative analysis and qualitative insights to senior leadership.
- Partner with CSL Behring brand teams to provide quantitative market, competitor, and brand insights, and develop relationships with US Market Research & CI leads to understand patient dynamics and the competitive landscape.
- Partner with external vendors to initiate secondary data research to identify barriers and opportunities for demand generation in CSL brands.
- Monitor, control, and negotiate all research and analytics‑related expenses for assigned projects to ensure cost‑effective use of resources.
- Present findings to senior leadership to influence data‑driven decision making.
- Bachelor’s degree with a quantitative focus (engineering, statistics, mathematical sciences, economics);
Master’s degree preferred. - Eight to ten years of professional experience with a focus on quantitative analysis and decision support.
- Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical data, including IQVIA Claims, DDD, Symphony Non‑Retail, and SP Claims.
- Prior commercial analytics experience in rare diseases, oncology, novel therapies, or biotech is highly desirable.
- Experience in management consulting, brand analytics, patient analytics, market access analytics, or equity research.
