CBRE, Government & Defense Services Commercial Cleaning Lead
Responsible for overseeing cleaning staff at the site, ensuring a clean, orderly, and safe environment for employees and clients.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks and cross‑train staff.
- Schedule daily staff meetings and required in‑service training sessions.
- Check cleaning equipment condition, order supplies as needed, and keep supplies in a safe, secure area.
- Coordinate and liaise with clients and employees, handling complaints and feedback.
- Inform the team of requests, confirm completion, inspect work done by cleaners, and submit daily cleanliness reports.
- Initiate regular training on procedures for the use of chemical cleaners.
- Ensure the standardized cleaning process meets company standards.
- Provide daily cleaning support to private areas of the building as needed.
- Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.
- May establish new techniques to ensure the team meets its objectives.
- Has a direct impact on the team objectives as well as the objectives of related teams.
- Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customer objectives.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE‑GDS values.
- High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of job‑related experience. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
- Meet the physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs; able to lift or carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- In‑depth understanding of relevant processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function and basic knowledge of related job functions.
- Ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent organizational skills and a master‑level inquisitive mindset.
Minimum pay rate $20.00 per hour. The position may also be eligible for a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, well‑being, financial planning, and short‑term incentives.
