Position Summary/Job DutiesWe are a family of three (mom, dad, Phoebe) living in the Town of Middleton, with one friendly dog and one cat. Our daughter will attend various summer camps throughout Madison, with different start and end times and locations. We are looking for consistent weekday care from July 6 through August 28 (flexible on exact dates if needed).
Because camp locations and times vary, the day will include:
- Morning care and transportation to camp
- Afternoon pickup and after-camp care
- Occasional transport to 5:00–5:30pm swim lessons in July
- Engaging activities at home (crafts, art, music, outdoor play, pool time)
We need morning coverage between 8:00am and camp start and afternoon coverage from the end of camp to5:00/5:30pm
, depending on the day’s schedule (more details below). You'll have the time off during the day while she is at camp to yourself. More details on schedule below by week due to camp schedule.
Our daughter enjoys being active and creative. We have a pool, so comfort with water safety and attentive supervision is essential.
We would also welcome occasional babysitting during the school year and some evenings/weekends if there’s mutual interest.
Qualifications- Prior childcare experience (nannying, camp counselor, teacher’s aide, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license with clear driving record
- Your own safe, reliable transportation
- Responsible, punctual, and organized
- Comfortable supervising a child around water
- Non-smoker
Bonus if you enjoy art projects, music, swimming, and being outdoors.
Application InstructionsPlease email with:
- A brief introduction about yourself
- Relevant childcare experience
- Your availability for the summer
- Resume (if available)
- References
We’re looking for someone who will be both steady and engaging — someone Phoebe can trust and enjoy spending her summer with.
