Denali Preschool & Learning Center (DPLC) is seeking caring, energetic, and dependable Childcare Providers to join our team! As the only state-licensed childcare center in the Denali Borough, DPLC provides high-quality, affordable childcare and early learning opportunities for children from infancy through school age in a safe, inclusive, and play-based environment.

If you enjoy spending your days exploring outdoors, reading stories, creating art, building meaningful relationships with children, and helping young learners discover the world around them, we'd love to meet you!

The Childcare Provider works collaboratively with DPLC educators to provide nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate care for children ranging from infants to school-age. This position helps create a safe, welcoming environment where children can learn through play while supporting their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

• Provide attentive, nurturing care while maintaining active supervision at all times.
• Plan and participate in engaging, play-based activities both indoors and outdoors.
• Foster positive social-emotional development through encouragement, patience, and positive guidance.
• Assist with meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, handwashing, rest time, and daily care routines.
• Help maintain clean, organized, and inviting classrooms and play areas.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Follow DPLC policies and Alaska Child Care Licensing Regulations.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
• Support smooth daily operations by remaining flexible and assisting throughout the center as needed.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working with young children is preferred.
• Ability to pass all required Alaska Child Care Licensing background checks.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Full-time and part-time positions may be available. Typical operating hours are

• Monday through Thursday from 7:45 AM–5:15 PM
• Friday from 7:45 AM–4:45 PM
