Come Make a Difference Every Day!Denali Preschool & Learning Center (DPLC) is seeking caring, energetic, and dependable Childcare Providers to join our team! As the only state-licensed childcare center in the Denali Borough, DPLC provides high-quality, affordable childcare and early learning opportunities for children from infancy through school age in a safe, inclusive, and play-based environment.

Position SummaryThe Childcare Provider works collaboratively with DPLC educators to provide nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate care for children ranging from infants to school-age. This position helps create a safe, welcoming environment where children can learn through play while supporting their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Responsibilities- Provide attentive, nurturing care while maintaining active supervision at all times.
- Plan and participate in engaging, play-based activities both indoors and outdoors.
- Foster positive social-emotional development through encouragement, patience, and positive guidance.
- Assist with meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, handwashing, rest time, and daily care routines.
- Help maintain clean, organized, and inviting classrooms and play areas.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Follow DPLC policies and Alaska Child Care Licensing Regulations.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Support smooth daily operations by remaining flexible and assisting throughout the center as needed.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience working with young children is preferred.
- Ability to pass all required Alaska Child Care Licensing background checks.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Full-time and part-time positions may be available. Typical operating hours are
- Monday through Thursday from 7:45 AM–5:15 PM
- Friday from 7:45 AM–4:45 PM
, with schedules varying based on classroom assignments and program needs.
