Child Development Center Supervisor
The purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor and assist the Child Development Center Director in the supervision of the day-to-day operation of a Child Development Center. Assists with the supervision of the Child Development Center to provide specialized developmental childcare and instruction for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age. The position develops, implements, and administers child development programs;
provides an overall safe and healthy environment to stimulate and sustain the interest of children; assists with administration; and organizes the educational and developmental programs managerial authorities.
Duties:
1. Assists the Child Development Center Director in the daily operations of the Child Development Center. Supports the CDC Director in the development, implementation and oversight of all elements of the Child Development Center program through activities, experiences, supportive interactions and positive social development.
2. Assists in the administration and evaluation of ongoing programs of individual and group developmental and educational activities for staff implementation and execution.
3. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
4. Provides assistance in the management of funds and resources to include developing the annual NAF and APF budgets, which includes submission and prioritization of program component requirements.
5. Assists the director in the administration of the USDA nutrition/food program.
