Job Description
M. Betters Construction specializes in below grade construction for electrical utilities. This consists of drilling, concrete foundations, installation of underground utilities, earthwork, and site access for transmission line and substation projects across multiple states.
We are seeking an assistant project manager to join our team to contribute to the planning and development of projects. The ideal candidate will work on-site overseeing construction projects under the direction of a senior project manager, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects effectively.
Responsibilities- Assist the project manager as needed
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, ordering materials, etc.
- Coordinate project activities with the client and other contractors
- Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise
- Communicate with client’s on-site representatives, project management and engineering teams
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including daily site forms such as JHA’s and client required QC forms
- Prepare and submit change orders and RFIs
- Site supervision and ensuring crews are following safety guidelines
- High School Diploma
- College Experience – Preferred, but not required.
- Previous experience in a project management role within the construction industry
- Knowledge of construction processes, blueprint reading, etc
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and Adobe
- Ability to work on a construction site and travel as needed from different jobs
Full Time
Pay Scale$20 - $25 / hr
Expected Hours50 hours per week (5-10 hour shifts M-F)
TravelThis position is expected to travel frequently, including overnight stays. We do work in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia
