Job Overview: The Senior Project Scheduler is a key member of the Construction Project Management team, responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules across the full project lifecycle. At this level, the incumbent manages increasingly complex assignments, working independently with minimal supervision, and collaborates closely with cross‑functional project teams to ensure alignment between planning, procurement, engineering, construction, commissioning, and maintenance activities.

They serve as the primary scheduling subject matter expert, providing technical leadership in schedule development, progress tracking, critical‑path analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting. The role proactively engages internal and external stakeholders to obtain project information, identify schedule risks and opportunities, and support effective project execution through accurate and timely scheduling insights.

Scope: Supports medium‑to‑large‑scale construction projects with significant scheduling complexity. Works independently while collaborating closely with project leadership and stakeholders, influencing project planning and execution decisions through schedule analysis, forecasting, and recommendations. Requires periodic travel to project sites, construction locations, and stakeholder meetings; overnight travel may occur. Site visits may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to site safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Technical college diploma or university degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in project scheduling, planning, or project controls, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience supporting projects through the full project lifecycle—planning, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, closeout, and post‑project follow‑up activities.
  • Demonstrated experience with oil‑and‑gas construction projects.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and integrating project schedules into program‑level or master schedules across multiple projects.
  • Experience working within regulated project environments, incorporating regulatory requirements, approvals, and milestones into schedules.
  • Strong understanding of Critical Path Methodology (CPM), schedule forecasting, earned value management, resource planning, schedule risk analysis, and project controls principles.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across project teams, contractors, consultants, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver accurate results in a fast‑paced, dynamic project environment.
  • Experience with Eco Sys project controls software.
  • Offshore project experience.
  • Experience supporting large‑scale energy, industrial, or infrastructure capital projects.
