Locum General Surgery Alaska 24 Hour call shifts!

January-November 2026
Call shifts: 24 Hour call, 7am-7am (required full blocks below)
Scope:
Bread and Butter General Surgery call coverage, Robotics and GI scopes strongly preferred but not required (GI at hospital does clinic only, however if General surgeon doesnt do scopes, IM providers are capable)
Procedures:
Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, bowel surgery, biopsy, mastectomy, tumor removal, wound care, upper GI scopes, thyroid, parathyroid, Trauma stabilization (only 2-3 a year)
Volume: varies, sometimes only 2 calls per week, some are 10 calls per dayEMR: EPIC (experience strongly preferred);
DaVinci Robot Hospital:
Level IV Trauma, 63 beds, 3 GS in group
Credentialing: 60-90 days Require: BC/BE GS, Active AK license preferred
