• Practice full-scope ophthalmology from diagnostics to advanced surgery
• Work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment

• No required on-call schedule
• Make a direct impact in underserved communities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and diagnose ocular conditions
• Deliver preventative, therapeutic, and surgical care
• Conduct procedures including:
  • Cataract and glaucoma surgeries
  • Refractive and corneal procedures
  • Vitreo-retinal and oculoplastic surgeries
  • Laser treatments
• Provide post‑operative care and patient education
• Collaborate with optometry and multidisciplinary teams
• Lead outreach field clinics in villages and support community care initiatives
• Contribute to quality improvement, reporting, and clinical excellence

• Chief Andrew Isaac Health Center (CAIHC)
• TCC Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
• Occasional travel to rural village clinics

• MD or DO from an accredited program
• Completion of ophthalmology residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABO)
• Eligible for Alaska medical licensure
• Strong clinical, surgical, and decision‑making skills
• Passion for culturally responsive, patient‑centered care

• 2+ years of experience (new grads welcome)
• Leadership interest (section lead opportunity available)
• Commitment to teamwork, compassion, and community service
