Our client is seeking a BHT or Paraprofessional to provide service in a school setting in Fort Washington, PA area. Experience with behavioral and autism preferred.
CLIENT'S SUMMARY OF OPPORTUNITY- School setting
- High School aged students w/ behaviors & Elementary School aged students w/ lower level autism
- At least one year experience working with the above populations
- Supervising and monitoring inclusive activities throughout the school day
- Ensuring student's safety within school building and surrounding areas
- Supporting student's academic, social, adaptive, communication, and behavioral needs
- Escort students to and from bus, classes, nurse, therapies, etc.
- Utilizing behavioral system and providing prompts across settings
- Transitioning students between activities
- Supporting sensory/exercise program
- Helping the teacher facilitate technology in the classroom
- Must possess a positive demeanor and demonstrate enthusiasm for supporting students and helping them navigate through academic and social challenges.
- Ability to maintain patience and take child's development stage into consideration.
This is an independent contractor opportunity for anyone who has ever worked as: BHT, Behavioral Health Technician, MHT, Mental Health Technician, Paraprofessional, PCA, 1:1, TSS, Therapeutic Support Specialist, Teachers Aide, Teachers Assistant.
