Overview:
Soliant seeks a skilled Reading & Math Teacher for a contracted position nearthe Stony Run, PA area. This role involves providing remedial instruction and support in reading and mathematics to a designated caseload of students.

Details:

• Start/End Date: ASAP - June 7, 2024
• Hours per Week: 29
• Caseload: Approximately 30-35 students (still being developed)
• Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Remedial Reading and Mathematics Services within nonpublic schools under Act 89 guidelines.
  • Conduct ongoing formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adapt instruction.
  • Demonstrate extensive content and pedagogical knowledge, seeking continual improvement in teaching practices.
  • Manage student behavior effectively and respectfully while maintaining a conducive learning environment.
  • Provide clear, scaffolded explanations and timely feedback, engaging students in learning and adjusting lessons as needed.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, responsiveness to student needs, and ongoing reflection to improve instructional effectiveness.

Requirements:

• Reading Specialist Certification
