Job SummaryPittsburgh School District seeks an experienced Special Education Supervisor to oversee and support our special education programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and enhancing educational outcomes for students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee special education programs district-wide.
- Ensure compliance with IDEA and state regulations.
- Supervise and support special education staff.
- Develop and implement staff professional development.
- Collaborate with general education staff for inclusive practices.
- Oversee IEP development and implementation.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Coordinate with parents, guardians, and external agencies.
- Manage special education budget and resources.
- Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or related field.
- Valid Pennsylvania administrative certification in Special Education.
- Minimum five years of experience in special education, including supervisory roles.
- Knowledge of special education laws and best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
