Job Description: We are currently hiring a Special Education Teacher to work near Easton, PA, for the  school year. This position involves working with students in autistic support and emotional support classrooms, focusing on elementary-aged children with the possibility of working with students across all grade levels (K-12). The successful candidate will be dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential in a supportive environment.

Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Near Easton, PA
Start Date: August 26, 2024
End Date: June 6, 2025
Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Caseload: Autistic Support and Emotional Support Classrooms (Primarily Elementary, Open to K-12)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with autism and emotional support needs.
• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other staff to ensure the integration of special education services.
• Regularly assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Engage in IEP meetings and maintain open communication with families to support student success.
• Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and learning.

Requirements:

• Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification required
• Experience working with autistic support and emotional support students preferred
• Strong knowledge of special education practices and IEP development
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create and maintain a positive learning environment
