Math Teacher

Position Overview

Morrison High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Math teacher to join our team. We are seeking a team player with excellent communication skills while fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about mathematics and committed to helping all students succeed. They create an engaging, student-centered classroom that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and a growth mindset.

The primary coursework to be taught will be Algebra II, Algebra I Foundations, and Algebra II Foundations.

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to state standards in Mathematics
• Teach a range of courses
• Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Integrate technology to enhance learning
• Maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Participate in professional development and school initiatives
• Serve as an advisor or support extracurricular activities as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement
• Strong knowledge of Mathematics standards and best instructional practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to student growth and school community
