- Responsibilities:
Diagnose causes of equipment malfunctions applying advanced electronic theory, system analysis, complex test equipment, schematic and wiring diagrams, formulas and/or theories gained through classroom and on-the-job training.;
Maintains associated antenna system transmission lines and ground plane networks for communication and navigational aid facilities.;
Participates in and conducts site surveys to determine the best location of new or relocated air traffic control facilities.;
Engineers and installs wide area networks (WAN) using line drivers and fiber optics.;
Certifies air traffic control and navigational electronic equipment in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
