A Security Guard is responsible for monitoring the assigned specific area, ensuring proper identification, evicting trespassers and writing reports detailing any occurrences during their shift.

• Protect company’s property, employees, and visitors.
• Monitor the assigned location on the company’s premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure a safe environment.
• Evict trespassers and violators and detain perpetrators following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive.
• Control the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles according to protocols.
• Provide detailed reports on daily activities and incidents to management.
• Use communication devices such as two-way radios clearly and concisely.
• Perform CPR or first aid when needed.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

• Have current TWIC card certification (required).
• Be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat; lift up to 40 pounds; perform prolonged standing or sitting.
• Communicate in English to associates and guests; read, write, and count accurately for documentation.
• Have or be willing to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Work safely in a noisy area with odors.
• Work in an unheated building; willing to live in a remote, rural community.
• Comfortable traveling by small plane or ferry to and from remote settings; walk and/or drive on gravel roads in inclement weather.
• In season, hours may be extended.
