Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced C-Corp Tax Manager to join our Tax Department. This position requires a deep understanding of tax regulations, C-Corp products, and the ability to develop strategies that minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance.
Salary: $115,000 – $175,000 per year
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement tax‑efficient investment strategies to minimize tax liabilities and enhance after‑tax returns for clients.
- Ensure all investment activities comply with relevant tax laws and regulations. Prepare and review tax returns and filings related to investment portfolios.
- Provide detailed tax analysis and reporting for investment portfolios, monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on investment strategies.
- Work closely with portfolio managers, financial advisors, and other internal stakeholders to provide tax guidance and support for investment decisions.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks associated with investment activities. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to tax policies and procedures.
- Serve as a tax advisor for high‑net‑worth clients, providing insights and recommendations to optimize their investment tax strategies.
- Mentor and train junior tax professionals within the department. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to maintain a high level of expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification required. Master’s degree in Taxation or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in C‑Corp work.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations as they relate to investments. Proficiency in tax preparation software and financial analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations and apply them to investment strategies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex tax concepts to non‑tax professionals.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Target 55‑hour busy seasons; 40 hours and below in non‑busy periods.
