Pay is depending on experience. Minimum for Special Credits Associate is $53,540.29 annually, $2,059.24 bi-weekly, Minimum for Special Credits Officer is $69,313.46, $2,665.90 bi-weekly. Northrim Bank is seeking a motivated and analytical professional to join our Credit Administration team as a Special Credits Associate or Special Credits Officer. Placement within the Associate or Officer level will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, and demonstrated expertise.

This position plays a critical role in protecting the Bank's assets and supporting borrowers through challenging financial situations. Successful candidates will work with delinquent and problem loan relationships, evaluate repayment options, analyze financial information, develop collection and recovery strategies, and collaborate with borrowers, lenders, attorneys, and other stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes.

What You'll Do
  • Manage a portfolio of delinquent or problem loan relationships.
  • Contact borrowers and guarantors to discuss repayment solutions and recovery strategies.
  • Analyze financial statements, tax returns, collateral values, cash flow, and repayment capacity.
  • Monitor loan performance and identify opportunities to reduce credit risk.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements, settlements, restructures, and recovery solutions within delegated authority.
  • Coordinate collateral recovery, liquidation efforts, bankruptcy matters, and legal proceedings as appropriate.
  • Prepare reports, account analyses, and recommendations for management.
  • Partner with attorneys, government agencies, vendors, and internal business partners to achieve collection and recovery objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Bank policies, regulatory requirements, and consumer protection standards.
What We're Looking For

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in loan collections, special assets, commercial credit, consumer credit, loan workouts, credit analysis, or related financial services functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to evaluate financial information and make sound recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.
  • The ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply:

  • Commercial credit analysis
  • Special assets or workout administration
  • Consumer loan collections
  • Bankruptcy and legal recovery processes
  • Collateral valuation and liquidation
  • Loan restructuring and recovery strategies
