Position: SECURITY SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Location: Hoonah

Duties
* Implements and administers the Information Security Program for the organization.
* Administers the Industrial Security Program for the organization. Reviews solicitation and contract documents to ensure they include the appropriate security clauses and language.
* Administers the Personnel Security Program for the organization.
* Implements and administers the Physical Security Program.
* Assists managers in implementing security education and motivation programs. Advises managers of security training requirements, changes in security procedures, publication of security directives, and enhancements designed to increase security awareness. Requirements Conditions of employment

* All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
* If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement. More information on PCS requirements, may be found at:  
* Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide
* Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
* Shift work and emergency overtime may be required

All federal employees are required to have direct deposit
* Employees and family members requiring medical/dental care in the overseas location are responsible for obtaining/paying for care. Access for these members to military medical/dental treatment facilities is on space-available/reimbursable basis only.
* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
* Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
* The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
* This position requires initial and periodic polygraph examinations. Employee is required to successfully complete pre-employment and random polygraph examinations in accordance with security regulations. Qualifications This is a GG-11 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-11 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-11 level.

The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. To qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements describes in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include knowledge of the principles, policy, procedures and methodology of security administration and skill in applying practical knowledge of applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies. Skills have been gained through experience or education to carry out difficult assignments independently.

Note:

Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. OR

EDUCATION:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND

EDUCATION:

Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified in the table, and may be computed by first determining the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicant's education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level;

and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-9 and GS-11. KNOWLEDGE,
