Duties The primary purpose of this position is:
To serve as the Partnership and Interagency Coordinator (IC) responsible for facilitating integration and synchronization of Alaskan Command (ALCOM) and Alaskan NORAD Region's military planning and staff with the full range of Alaska-based federal, state, local, and non-governmental public, private sector agencies and regional partners and allies. The IC provides technical analysis, planning, and program implementation to support the Commander's operational integration with (but not limited to) a wide range of multiagency committees, councils, forums, and advisory boards such as the following: the Ted Stevens Center (TSC), Advisory Council Alaska (ACA), Anti-Terrorism Advisory Council Alaska (ATACA), Alaska Partnership for Infrastructure Protection (APIP), Alaska Air Coordination group (ACG), Western Alaska Area Maritime Security Committee (WAAMSC), Alaska Environmental SOC and ESG, Local Emergency Preparedness Council (LEPC), State Emergency Response Commission (SERC), FEMA Region X Regional Interagency Steering Committee (RISC), Marine Transportation System Recovery Unit, and the Intelligence Advisory Group (IAG).

* Serves as the Interagency and Partnership Coordinator responsible for enabling ALCOM's joint staff collaboration efforts with interagency (federal) and Inter-organizational (state, local, public, private government and in some cases, national or bi-national) and non-government partners across the ALCOM JOA in support of homeland defense (HD) and civil support (CS) missions. Acts as the A&AC Commander's
* Responsible for initiating, maintaining and connecting A&AC command and staff with partners (regional, allied or Arctic) agencies, communities, and senior leaders across Alaska in order to develop trust-based relationships which lay the foundation for a rapid and effective Civil Support (CS) and Homeland Defense (HD).
* Serves as the Command's focal point for knowledge management related to Alaska interagency, partnership and engagement coordination and support, and serves as the primary DOD representative to State of Alaska partnership organizations.
* Support Command exercises by ensuring DOD interagency requirements are effectively tied into federal, state, local, or multinational exercises within the Alaskan JOA.. Requirements Conditions of employment
