Position: PROGRAM ANALYST with Security Clearance
Location: Eielson Air Force Base

Duties The primary purpose of this position is:
To serve as a Range Control and Scheduling Specialist for the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex (JPARC) air-to-ground weapons training range and airspace. Responsible for operational oversight and coordination of daily Air Force training in the JPARC. Manages Air Force scheduling and usage of the Yukon Training Area (YTA), Donnelly Training Area (DTA) and Tanana Flats Training Area (TFTA) underlying the JPARC airspace.

Duties:
* Responsible for establishing and integrating all range planning and execution functions with internal and external agencies to accomplish daily training operations in the 77,000 square mile JPARC.
* Plans, organizes, and directs scheduling activities of the organization for future operations, ensuring that work complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
* Responsible for developing/executing comprehensive management plans for consumable range resources.
* Represents the Range Squadron as the go to person for range operations. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
* Familiarity with arctic area operations and weapon range experience is critical to the successful completion of the work.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
* This is a drug testing designated position - position is subject to random drug testing.
* The work will require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required for the position.
* Work hours may require uncommon duty including nights, weekend and holidays. EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes extensive knowledge of a wide array of concepts, principles, and practices covering all aspects of weapons range administration and procedures, range safety, and range planning, typically gained through experience working on weapons training ranges.

Knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, theories, tactics, techniques, and procedures for operations applicable to employing military aircraft on a weapons/electronic warfare training range. Knowledge of DoD, US Air Force, and US Army command directives, concepts, procedures, guidance, and policy as they relate to weapons training range operations, as well as knowledge of the installation/command mission and organization. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time--in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.

NOTE:
